Just saw this trailer for Pacific Rim - A Robotech-esque film about giant robots fighting giant alien monsters (albeit from the sea). Does this film totally rule out any chance a Robotech Live Action movie will ever be made (particularly since this film is by Warner Brothers who are also working with Maquire Entertainment for the RLAM)? The other thought is if Pacific Rim makes a buck or two, then perhaps the Robotech Live Action Movie will get the green light.
I don't have a good feeling about it...because Pacific Rim looks awesome, and why compete with your own property with a similar storyline?
